AFA compensators are installed on pipe systems that are subject to longitudinal expansion of the material (so-called dilation) when the temperature of the flowing medium changes. It serves to compensate for axial, radial displacements and angular deviations, thereby protecting pipes and other elements of the system from damage. They are usually also mounted in systems where it is necessary to prevent vibrations from pumps or other technological devices. The higher the operating temperature of the medium, the more the maximum expansion and working overpressure of the compensator is limited.
