Standard temperature sensors with resistance and analog (4 – 20 mA; 0 – 10V) output. Resistance temperature sensors are currently among the most widespread means of temperature measurement. They are widely used in all branches of industry, e.g. in engineering, in the automotive industry, in the chemical industry, in the food industry, etc. But their possibilities of use do not end there. They are also used, for example, as standards for calibrating all other types of sensors or thermometers. Their main advantages include stability, accuracy and signal shape. Resistance temperature sensors use the dependence of material resistance on temperature. Most often, pure metal materials such as platinum, nickel, copper and their alloys are used for their production.
