SENSIT SHV2 OUT R - flood sensor, relay output, 24VAC/DC, cable 3m
Flooding sensors (level sensors) consist of a plastic head in which the evaluation electronics are placed and an external probe, which is made of a silicone cable, at the end of which a plastic box with sensing electrodes is connected. The metal electrodes are made of stainless steel DIN 1.4301, the length of the own sensing electrodes is 50 mm, the basic length of the connecting cable is 2 m. The connection of the 24 V DC or 24 V AC supply voltage and at the same time the idle state at the output of the relay or transistor is indicated by a green LED diode. A fault condition (creation of a conductive connection between the electrodes) is signaled by a red LED inside the box and by a change in the state of the output transistor or relay contact. The relay output is selected by placing a short-circuit jumper (jumper) on the PCB. The supply cables of the power supply and the output contacts are connected to the terminal block via the connectors that are part of the plastic head. The basic material of the head is POLYAMIDE.

Flood sensors (level sensors) work on the principle of different conductivity (conductivity) of air and water. Due to dissolved mineral and organic substances, water becomes conductive to a certain extent. In normal conditions (rainwater) it has a conductivity of 5 mS/m-1 towards higher values. From this value, the sensitivity of the own sensor is also set with a margin (less than 1 mS/m). A current (on the order of µA) passes between the immersed electrodes, which is detected by the evaluation electronics, thereby signaling the status with a red LED, activating the output transistor (open collector) and switching on or off the relay (according to the setting of the short-circuit jumper on the jumper).

Flood sensors (level sensors) in the version with an external probe are designed to signal fault conditions related to water leakage in industrial plants, but also in rooms, offices, or in production halls in the range from 0 to 80 °C. Inundation sensors (level sensors) comply with the degree of protection IP 65 according to ČSN EN 60529, as amended, and meet the conditions for operation in a normal, chemically non-aggressive environment, the method of use must be chosen taking into account the temperature resistance of the head and the chemical resistance of the housing and the sensor head.

  • flooding of buildings with groundwater, floods, sewage
  • flooding of collection pits, switching on the pump after reaching the level
  • water leakage signaling from the washing machine, boiler, darling, etc.
  • flooding of the room due to various device malfunctions - broken toilet inlet, overflowing bathtub, sink
  • monitoring of condensate in the air duct
